Digital travel card returns please
Could improve …. I’m not sure why you have to print paper tickets if you pre-book and pre-pay for a day return with travel card but it’s not necessary to print if it’s just a day return. It’s a digital world - both options should be available digitally. Room to improve, but generally good otherwise.

I travel many times each month from London to Hove and my journey in most instances are seamless. I am a lover of train journeys, particularly long journeys so am generally happy taking the train and purchasing tickets online through Trainline is perfect

Normally easy to navigate and fair prices but still think prices are to high if you want peope to stop using cars.
Not had a problem with booking at any time but I still want the ability to go to a station to ask a real life person. Happy to reccomend Trainline.

Charged me a £10 admin fee to change my ticket to a different time, and a cheaper fare.
Currently looking for an alternative, will not be using trainlinr again if i dont have to

Where do I start?
Where do I start?
The little pop out box for train stops is frustratingly fickle. Most of the time the scrolling does not happen. Frustrating when looking for stops when there are changes involved.

I realised within the day that I booked…
I realised within the day that I booked for the 13th instead of the 12th. However, the system, and the support both wouldn't let me change to the earlier date, only later. Also there was no option to refund a trip Trainline and I both knew I'm not going to go on. There should be a cooling off period to let you change or refund for free like some airlines. I rebooked using Omio and I will never use Trainline again. Rip off.
Need a refund? That'll be another £10.
I bought a ticket to go to London. I tried to use the South Western Railways' site, but it's frustrating and very badly designed, so I stumped up the fee to buy from trainline.com.
Then, I get a cancellation request from my client, a day before travelling - so I go to get a refund. I am charged another £10 'admin' fee to get a simple refund. Explain that, Trainline.

Really easy and fairly simple platform to purchase tickets. I don’t mind paying the small fee on top because of that.
One criticism that I have is that there are so many different tickets types. I have bought a day return by accident on a few occasions and been stung on my return trip. The fares need to be simpler and the open return should at least be near the top of the page.

Very easy and convenient to use when booking both coach and train tickets. The website and app are straightforward and makes booking really efficient. I’ve been using Trainline for a few years now since I was in Uni and I recommend it to everyone I know when it comes to booking train/coach tickets.
Competitive pricing
Train line need to be more competitive with their Railcard pricing. At least 2 other apps can offer a 1 year's railcard for be!ow £20. You're losing out big time. Time to get your Big Boy's pants on!

Ticket collection
I bought my ticket last night and when I went to collect it this morning, no machine would allow me to print it. Apparently there was an issue with the card I used to pay for it, even though I tried to collect with the same card I paid with. I then had to purchase a new ticket from the station and had no issues with my card. On top of that I had to pay a £10 admin fee to refund the ticket I couldn't collect. Don't use trainline. They are unreliable and from previous experience do very little to help in these types of situations, as this is not the first time this has happened.
Easy to use pre-bookings, e-tickets
Easy to use for pre-booking and on the spot rail tickets. Can access my tickets within the app and by email. Helpful reminders and delay notifications for booked tickets. If you register a Railcard, the app will automatically deduct the discount from every journey as you book it. Not sure about how good the prices are for regular rail users/commuters, as I only use the trains once or twice a month.

Convenient, great customer service.
Very convenient to book, with minimal overhead fee. Was easy to use, only problem was whether due to a mistake on my part where either I didn't notice I clicked the wrong date, or the date didn't update properly as I was debating between tickets, I booked a ticket for the wrong day. I immediately noticed my mistake and contacted customer service, and despite having a "no refund" ticket, they were willing to make an exemption for my mistake. They had no obligation to, but their willingness to work with me left me no choice but to want to leave them a review.

My senior railcard has dissapeared from the Trainline app .... I am logged in with the same name etc etc ..... I have emailed Trainline but told a response may take 10 days, which is not entirely helpful when travelling tomorrow. I have requested an old style card...
